Tho House of Commons lias passed Mr. Lloyd-George's resolutions for provisional collection of taxes, necessitated by the decision in Mr. T. Gibson Bowles's case last. November, :.n which it was laid down that income tax could not be deducted until the Finance Act for the year had been passed by Parliament. The Prime Minister, Mr. Asquith, promised to suspend the incomo tax privilege of members of '.'lie House of Commons until the Accounts Committee, had reported.
