Patrick Hargreaves was remanded to appear ac Dunedin on. a charge of his having failed to provide for the maintenance of his wile and two children. CIVIL BUSINESS. (Before Dr. A. M'Arthur, S.M.) MOTOR-CYCLE DAMAGED. Dr. M'Artluir, S.M., delivered judgment in (lie case, in which Henry llauson, plumber, sued the Colonial Carrying Company of iNew Zealand, Ltd., for X2U 7s. Gii., as damages done to a motor-cycle of his. Hanson. stated that the cycle was damaged as a-jcsult of one of defendant's vehicles coming, into contact with, it, and lie alleged that, the contact was the outcome of negligent and unskilful driving by ono of plaintiff's men. His Worship gave judgment for Hanson for X2l 7s. Gd. CLAIM FOR TEA. The Castle, Tea Co. sued Armstrong ■Bros., of Bruniier, for XII las., us for tea ■supplied. Subsequently, XI ss. of tho claim was abandoned. Plaintifls stated that tho traveller to wlium tkp order 'had been given was now dead. Defendants denied ever having ordered or received the goods charged against tliem. Mr. H'. F, Von Haast appeared for the plaintiffs,'"and Mr. R. Kennedy for the defendants. Judgment was reserved.
