OI'EHA HOUSE. "Tho l'arisli Priest" was produced at ilii.' Opera Itouso for tlm last time by the Allen Doono Comedy Company last evening. This evening tho company will revivo "A Romance in Ireland," in which 111". Uoono and Jliss ICeeley appeared in Wellington last year with considerable success. In this play, which has a melodramatic tendency, Sir. Doone appears as the youthful hero, and experiences somo lively moments before it is thoroughly established 'that he is the best fellow iu Ireland. During the play Mr. Doono sings several songs of a popular order iu. a persuasive manner. - THEATRE I'OYAL. The capital bill that is being presented at the Theatre Royal continues to draw large audiences. In addition to the clever Herenaders and the Stagpoolos in tho "golf" absurdity, there are now Stanley and Bernard, who impersonate the comic "Yiddisher" to perfection. Their imitations are laughter-provoking to a degree. ".\lysto" is a new version of vaudeville magician, who in a brief ten minutes manages to do tricks enough to keep the average person wondering for a month iiow they are done. Mr. Frank Hawthorne proves himself to be a clever female impersonator in his bright sketch, "Tho New Dressmaker," and the Harmonious Huxhams sing trios with excellent cft'ect. HIS MAJESTY'S TIIEATRE. "Tho Wives of Jamestown," which is the titlo of a. romantic story picture, the plot of which is worked out in tho picturesque purlieus of Jamestown, of old Virginia, in Georgian times, is- ono of the most attractive pictures of the new series at .His Majesty's Theatre. It is the story of a "low-bom's" love for a lady of tho old Southern aristocracy. Other pictures aro "The Firo Cop," a good "comic," "Sally in Our Alley," "Literature and Love," and "Fooling their Wives." THE EMPRESS' THEATRE. The final appcaranco is announced for to-day and to-night of tho current programme of the impress Theatre continuous , pictures. Tho main "draw" is tho great Selig firo drama, "Tho Fire-fighter's Love," a talo of two firemen wlio aro rivals in love. Tho interest centres upon a big conflagration in which tho hero rescues his rival from tho blazing debris. Tlio subject is quite realistic, and tho situations exciting. Another thrilling enactment is the A.13. Co.'s domestic adventure, "A Father's Lesson." Tho head of tho household, while in an inebriated condition, nearly causes tho death of his children. "Patlie's Australian Gazette," and S. and A. drama, "The Prospector," and the A.B. exclusive comedy,' "An TJp-to-dato Lochinrar," are also meritorious items. The new programme to-morrow will be headed by a great Selig drama, "A Mau Amongst lien." KING'S THEATRE. "Back from the Dead" is tho somewhat awesome titlo of the chief dramatic picture being shown at the King's Theatro this week. It is tho case of a man wlio passes off a dead man as himself, comes to life again -when his wife re-marries, and blackmails her, until finally he is removed by being arrested for a serious crime. "The Wives of Jamestown/' "Lconie," "Dr. Bridget," and "Tho 500-Milo Motorcar Race" aro also pictures well worth seeing. '. I ' . NEW THEATEE. "Tho Last Obstacle" is tho dramatic feature of the present programme at tilt cosy New Theatre.
