0 — PICTURE-FILM, FLAIiE. (By Tclesraph.—Press Association.) Reefton, April 5. A fire at tho Princess Theatoe last night, occasioned by ft kinomatograph film catching alight, causal a bit of a scaro. A few of those presenl rushed the doors, but the majority, kept cool, and tlic side doors being opened, tho houso was emptied. Tho kiiicmatogmph apparatus was badly damaged, but no other damnge was done. HOU.SE DESTROYED. Gcrß, April 5. A five-roomed houso, owned by Mrs. W. D. Stewart, at East Gore, was destroyed bv firo late yestordav afternoon. A strong westerly galo was blowing. The fire brigade prevented the firo spreading to adjacent houses. Tho houso was insured with the Rational Company for ,£2OO, and tho furniture for XIOO. Mrs. Stewart's loss is <£150 over the insurance. INSURANCES. Auckland, April 5. Mr. Rew estimates tho damago to his stock by last night's fire at >£2500. Tliero is an insurance on the stock of between .£IOOO and .£SOOO in tho Commercial Union. The building, owned by Mr. Pew, was insured in the Alliance foT X 3500. Tho cause of tho firo is a mystery.
