DIES IN THE PULPIT.
——-4- —— Tho Rev. E. T. Griffiths, ■ vicar of Cain nutl Rural Dean of Dursley, Gloucestershire, fell dead oil February 1G while preaching at Cam Parish Church. In the courso of his sermon his voice failed him, and ho collapsed, and fell down the pulpit stops. Those who ran immediately to his assistance found that ho was dead. Tho sermon which was so tragically cut short was on the subject of death, tho Vicar's text being Matthew x. 39: "He that findeth his life shall lose it, and lie that loseth his life for My sake shall' find it." \ Tho rev.\gciitleman had suffered from heart affection, and on tho advice of his doctor, liad seon a consultant physician. A.gravo view was taken of the case, but the vicar insisted on carrying out his duties as usual. During his sermon ho made a touching referenco to Captain Scott's death at the post of duty.
