THE SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. RIVALS AND UNION A TIE, The seventh round of llie Wednesday Cricket Association's senior competition was coiieludcd yesterday afternoon. Only, two matches were played, Vivian having defaulted to Y.M.C.A. The result of yesterday's play places Union and Rivals on top, each with 18 points. Tho match between Rivals and Union was continued on No. 4 wicket. The Rivals, in their first innings, had lost six wickets for 2(iG runs, and decided to close, putting Union in, who, playing with seven men, were disposed of for 8(i runs, the top scorers being M'Gill for a lucky 35 and Mulford 28, made by steady play. In their second innings Union were all out for 7G_, tho only double-figure scorer being Warne, 50, inado without a chance, and one of the best innings played this season. Rivals thus won by an innings and 101 runs. Tho Oriental-Artillery mate'ln resulted in a win for Oriental, who, with a lead, of 101 oil the first inuings, made 00 in their second. Artillery made' 95 in their first innings, of which M'lntyrc was top scorer with 21.
