Kebty-Fle'tcher, who is Conservative member of the Hons; of Commons for the Altrincham Division of Cheshire, asked Mr. Lloyd-Gcorgo whether his salary wjis insufficient to prevent his gambling on tho Stock Exchange. Tho Chancellor hotly replied: "You had better say that in a place where it would subject you to a prosecution. Then I will meet you as I havo met others." An angry scene followed, Labour members and others calling Mr. Kebty-Flelcher "a dirty snob." , Sir. Lloyd-George called out "Cad!" MEMBER OF THE COMMITTEE RESIGNS. (Rec. April 3, 0.30 a.m.) London, April 2. Mr. Harold Smith, Unionist member for Warrington, has resigned from tho Marconi Committee as a protest against Mr. J. Falconer (Liberal) and Mr. Handel Booth (Liber.jl) having been informed of Ministers' puvchases of American Marconi shares, though the rest of the committee did not know of them.
