HUN OVER BY GOODS TRAIN, Te.Kujti, April 1. : ' A body was found oh the railway about 'half )a mile north of To Kuiti last night, and was identified this morning- as that of Celia Mackenzie, aged eighteen years, a sister of the proprietress of a well-known boardinghouse at Kelvin Grove. Deceased had beeirrnn over by a goods train leaving To Ivuiti for Frankton Junction -about 10 o'clock. An inquest is being held to-day. -- - ■i. FOUND IN THE HARBOUR. ' Auckland, April 1. He accidentally threw a lighted match into some powder; and was at once enveloped in flames. He is suffering severely from'shock. INQUESTS. . . An inquest on the body of . William Oliver O'Reilly; who died suddenly at No. 4 -Lorne-Street at 11.30, a.m. on Sun- 1 : day last, was held by .the .City Coroner • (Dr. A. M'Arthftr, S.M.) yesterday evening. 'The covoritfr returned a verdict to the effect-that the deceased died whilst iii an advanced stage of consumption through^tho effect of excessive drinking. Yesterday morning the City Coroner (Dr. A. M'Arthur, b.JI.) held an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the death of a female child found in tho Windsor Hotel on March 18 last. -Chief Detective Broberg represented the police. Dr.. Kington Fylfe stated that Hie. body was fully developed. From the condition of the lungs ; tho. child had breathed. There was nothing to show by what means the child lost its .life except that judging by the condition of the lungs .it might liavo been caused .by • suffocation during .or directly after birth. Dr. William M'Caw; a house surgeon at the Wellington Hospital, Detective Bailey, and. Constable Al'Kelvey aho gave' evidence. Tho coroner's verdict was that death was due to suffocation oitlier during or immediately after birth. Subsequently a young woman named' Martha Bern' was "arrested and brought before Mr. W.
