VISIT TO LANCASHIRE INDUSTRIES. The ICiug and Queen, resumiug tho tour of industrial centres which they began last summer, will in July next make personal acquaintance with the working conditions in the great industries of Lancashire. ' • i'roin Monday, July 7, to Monday, July 14, their Majesties wiil.be the guests of Lord and Lady Derby" at lvnowsley. From there they will make a tour each day through one or other ol' the industrial districts of the county. The following are the towns where their Majesties will personally-' inspect some great industry at work:— Accriilglon.—Cotton spinning and weaving; printing cotton iabrics; bleaching works; j Blackburn.—Calico and muslin productions; engineering works. SI. Helens.—Ctlass works; copper smelting. -» I'rcstou—Col(oii spinning; iron aud brass foundries. Oldham— Coal mines; cotton spiuning, and cotton machinery works. Warrington—Wire drawing; pin making; soap works. Among the many other plnces their Majesties will visit is the famous Lancashire seaside resort, Blackpool. On (he Friday they will open the new Jnverpool dock; on the Sunday they will attend a Territorial church parade at Liverpool, and 011 Monday, the 14th, they will visit Manchester. > Nearly 100,000 visitors will be at liltckpol 011 ,iuly 8, the day of the King's visit and the second day of what is called "tho lull season." The visitors will come principally i'rom Nelson, Burnley, Brieriield, Boltoii, and Farnworth, .where the annual "wakes" are held during tho first half of July. Uml Derby has been informed that it is the inteulion .of his Majesty to visit Aintree racecourse, Liverpool, on April 4, io witness the race for tho Grand National Steeplechase. His Majesty had to concel his intention t> witness last year's Grand Natbnal owing to tho coal strike.
