The Hon. W. F. Massey (Prime Minister) is to leave to-morrow for Eltlmm; the Hon. W. H. Hurries expects to be in Wellington during this week, and afterwards will proceed to the South Island to continue his inspection of the railwny lines of the Dominion. The Hon. W. Fraser arrives to-day from Auckland and will lcavo to-morrow for Taranaki in company with tho Prime Minister. The Hon. H. D. Bell left for tho north last evening and will be absent for about n week. The Hon. R. H. Rhodes, the Hon. A. L. Herdman, and the Holi. Dr. Pomare are in Wellington.

Major-General Godlcy, accompanied by Colonel Knox, and Majors Maidlow and Cleghorn, arrived from the south yesterday by the Maori. At a largo gathering of members of the Masterton A. and P. Association on Saturday, Mr. Win. Perry, who is leaving for the, Old Country, was presented with an illuminated address and an album containing photographs of the showgrounds nnd officials. Several eulogistic speeches wero made/ and the health of Mr. and Mrs. Perry was drunk in bumpers. The Rev, R. de Lambert, curate of Blenheim, has been appointed Vicar of Westport, in succession to the Rev. ,T. R. Dart, who has been appointed Vicar of Wakefield. Mr. Dart will take up his duties at AVakefield* at the beginning of May. Mr. George H. Scales will bo a candidate for tho suburbs seat on the Wellington Harbour Board at the election on April 30. , Mr. R. Mothe9 is mentioned as a candidate for tho Wellington suburbs and Hutt and Makara Counties' seat on the Wellington Harbour Board. Mr. John Puller, sen., of the firm of John Fuller and Sons, is a visitor to Wellington. ,

Since ho lias been promoted to tile rank of lieutenant in the New Zealand Stall' Corps, liis commission dating from April 1, 1913. The Venerable Alfred Neild, M.A., Archdeacon of Dunedin, and.Vicar of St. Jlary's, Mornington, has been offered by the Bishop of Melanesia tho position of organising secretary for tho mission in Now Zealand. Wo understand (says the Dunedin "Star") that tho archdeacon will accept tho offer, in which case 'ho will lake up his residence 'in Auckland.

On the eve of Ins marriage, Mr. A. C. ICitto whs presented by tho members of the Wellington Amateur Athletic Club Willi a valuable timepiece. The presentation was mode by Mr. T. A. TConaldson (president), who mentioned that amateur athletics in Wellington hail no more enthusiastic supporter than Mr. Kitto. Mr. A. A. Murryatt, president of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association, and Mr. .T. K. Pollock, also added tilting words of congratulation, to which Mr. Kit to suitably responded. Mr. C. W. Kerry, the newlv-anpointeil organist In St. John's Church, Wellington, arrived from Melbourne by the Mueraki on Friday.
