M'Lcod, 8.4- (headmaster of the Temuka District High School), D. A. Strnchan, M.A. (inspector of ; tho Marlborough Education Uoard), and L. F. Pcglor, B.A. (headmaster of .Hastings District High School). These will bo invited to interview the board personally on April 15.—Press Association. A brass' tablet has been erected in tha Otaki Maori Mission Church to the memory of the late Mr. H. S. Hadfleld, son of the lato Bishop Hadfleld. Tho tablet'bears tho following inscription in Maori:—"ln loving memory of Henry Samuel Hadfiold, eldest son of Iflshop Iladfleld; born at Otaki, 11th April, 1853; died Wellington, 19th December, 1910. Ho was tho true friend of the Maoris, and it was largely owing to his work that 'Rangiatea' was restored in 1909. This is crected by his wife and children." Tho tablet will be unveiled on Sunday next. Acting under instructions from Mr. L. Sandbcrg, who is leaving New Zealand, Messrs. A. L. Wilson and' Co. will sell llio furniture and motor-car at tho residence,' No. 1G Tanchi Crescent, this day at 1.30 o'clock. The Wellington Corporation Tramways annouiico elsewhere that school tickets at reduced rates, available for 24 two or four rides daily, will lie issued to-day (Friday) in plnco of tho present monthly tickets. Mr. C. W. Price, auctioneer, has been instructed to sell, at 1.30 o'clock to-day, n superb collection of furniture, including a ten-stop organ. Tho salo takes placo at 537 Adelaide Road, Bcrhamporo. Mr.. M. Walker, superintendent of tho Rangatira Health Institute, Auckland, is announced to speak on health reform at tho Masonic Hall, Boulcott Street, this evening, nt 7.J5 o'clock. Messrs. Young and Jacks, land and estato agents, Aucklnud, offer for salo 3500 acres of freehold, 6ituated on tho East Coast (five hours by steamer from Auckland).. Tho property has about three* miles of sea .frontage, with pretty bays, and well-sheltered harbour. The land is. described as good mixed sheep-carrying country.
