FIRE AT NEWTOWN.

At about 2.30 yesterday morning a firo was discovered in the residence of Mr. George Hurry Brailey, 157 Hanson Street. The house was damaged to 'the extent of about dCIOO, and the. furniture to the extent of about .£SO. Tho building was insured for .£SOO in, tho Norwich Union Office, and the contents for ,£175 in the South British Office. Mrs. Bniilc-v went into a storeroom about 10.30 on Wednesday night, and, after getting some children's clothing, threw down a match which sho thought' at the 'time was extinguished. Sho now thinks that this match may have smouldered and caused tho fire.
