WELLINGTON HARRIERS.

The report to be presented at the annual meeting of the Wellington Harriers' Club expresses regret that the past season was not as successful from the club's standpoint as was anticipated. The membership of the club is, as regards activo members, about the same as last season; the number of honorary members being eight. Twenty-four runs were held during 'the season, the average attendance being eleven. Club attendance badges are tobe awarded to Messrs. W. B. Bennett. T. .T. Kerr, and L. Salek. S. M'Dowall gained the highest number of points for runs-in, W. B. Bennett being second. The provincial cross-country championship and teams' race, instituted last year, liad the desirable effect of extending the sport to the Manawatu and Wairarapa districts. ~,,,, The club's thanks are extended to the following for donations and trophies:— Messrs. W. H. Bennett. W. B. Bennett, M. Burnett. A. Kit.to, W. 11. Pollock. I<\ Wilton, and also Mrs* Salek; to Mr. W.F. Watt, for use of premises for committee meetings; to the Lyall Bay Surf Clubiand Life-saving Club for use of their shed at Lyali Bav; to Miss M. Robinson, for typhi" circulars; to Messrs. Lichncr, Jones, and Salek for supply and delivery of paper at club run<" to the liandicappors and the press of the city.
