• Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. (Mastorton branoh) report:— Wfl had a Very fair entry of sheep at Solwa.y'yesterday. Bidding was hardly so keen as, at tho previous sale, and several lines were passed in at auction; though wo managed to -quit most of them afterwards. Medium lambs made from 6s. 6d. to 7s. 4d.; small do., 65.; small 2-tooth wethers, 10s. 6d. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Johnsonville 6ale, held yesterday, as ' follows:—Prime bullocks, £10 55., £9 17s. 6d„ £9 10s.; medium, £8 15s. to £9; light, £7 17s. 6d.; prime heavy wethers, 18s. 3d. and 18s. 4d.; mediums, 16s. 6d. to 17s. 4d.;, light, 155.; prime owes, 15s. lid.; medium, Us. to 14s. 3d.; light, 12s. lid. to 13s. 9d. Prime lambs, woolly, 165.; mediums, 12s. to 12s. 10d.; lighter, lis. to lis. 6d.'; stores, 9s. 6d. to 10s. ADDINGTON STOOK MARKET. (By Telegraph.—Presa Association.) Christchurch, March 26. Tho weekly sale of stock was held at the Addington stock yards to-day, whon thcro was a largo attendance of buyers. Tho yarding was ft' representative one, stOTo sheep boiug again present in vory large numbers. Other classes' were about up to tho average of recent markets, a big increase being noticeable in the fat lamb pens. ■, I'at lambs: The yarding totalled 7?21, [is compared with 1922 at tho previous week's market. Best lambs made 17s. to 19s. sd„ and lighter, 14s. sd. to 16s. 9d., as against 17s. 6d. to 21s. 9d., and 14s. 2d. to 17s. respectively at the previous salo. Fat sheep: The yarding was slightly smaller, there being about 3100 in tho pens. The range ol' prices was:—Wethers, prime, 19s. to 225. 2d.; lighter, 16s. lid. to 183. 9d.; prime ewes, from 16s. to 20a.; inodiuin, 13s. 6d. to 15s. 6d.; aged and light, 10s. lOd. -to 13«.

DUl'-NSIDE MARKET. Duncdin, Maxell 26. Fat cattle: 117 yarded. Competition was very strong at tho conimcncemcnt of the sale, but slackened towards the end. Prices were 15s. to 255. per licad higher than last week.. Best bullocks brought £12 15». to £14 17u. 6d.; good, £11 to £12; medium, £8 lCs. to £9 10rf.; best cows and heifers, £9 10s. to £11 2s. 6d.; good, £7 15s. 4d. to £8 15s;; medium, £6 10s. to £7 10s.: inferior. £5 to £6. Fat sheep: 1750 penned, which number proved less t-lia.n requirements. Prices rose in conseuuence from Is. 6d. to 2s. 6d. per head. Best wethers, 235. to 245. €d.; extra primo and heavy, 275. to 305.: good, 21s. 6d. to 225. 6d.; light, 19s. to 205.; best ewes, 205.. 225. 6d.; good, 17s. 18s.; medium, 15s. lfe. Lambe: 600 penned.
