MUSKETRY INSTRUCTORS.
RELEASED FROM AREA DUTY. (By Telegraph.—PrcEa Association.) Christchurch, March 10. When speaking at Oxford last night tho Hon. R. Heaton Rhodes, Acting-Minister for Defence, stated thai for some timo past there had been requests that musketry instructors should be attached to each district. They had already imported capable instructors from Hytlie, but owing to tho shortage of non-commis-sioned officers, theso men had to bo employed as area officers. On Saturday, ho and General Godlcy had discussed the matter, and had decidcd 'to promote four more non-commissioned officers, and devote musketry instructors to tlioir proper work. One would be appointed to cacli of the four centres. This course, hp hoped, would remedy all complaints that sufficient instruction in -musketry was not given.
