REAGGREGATION.
Sir,—l have been interested in reading articles on land aggrelation in various papers Ititely, as it i.s a matter that is being much discussed here. Your Article in yesterday's Usiio seems lo l.e an attempt to hide a very ureal evil. If your representative would pay n visit to this district he oould very readily obtain in-
formation showing that large numbers of good settlers have been displaced to mako room for the big landholder, to the detriment of the wliolo district, and that this has occurred on land all of which is good sheep country and some could bo excellent daily farms, A section of both press and public at tempts to lay tho' blame on the present Government, but in this district at least most of the aggregation odcurrod un<l<!r tho Liberal Government, and it will continuo until wo get legislation which will prevent it. The Government which passes such legislation will bo deserving of tho gratitude of tlio wholo country, and will receive the thanks of a great majority, of tho country -residents— 1 am, etc., LIMITATION. Mangawoka, March 12, [Our correspondent is in error. We liavo no desire to hide any evil, great or little. What we have asked concerning this question of reaggregation of laud i.s that some proofs should be advanced to show that the alleged evil actually exists. Isolated cases possibly may bo quoted, but against that very extensive large estates by the owners has been' carried out in recent years and is still proceeding.]
