EASTER CARNIVAL.

In connection-with tho Citizens Easter Carnival, Mr. D. A. Even, of Messrs, Sargood, Son, and Ewon, lias generously promised a donation of .£2O to tho carnival providing nineteen other citizens contribute a similar sum. Tho donations ( of Mr. Herbert Seaton and Mr. G. E. lolhurst will mako'three that havo already subse-Tibcd, so that only seventeen others aro now required. As is well known, the total proceeds of tho carnival will bo devoted to sucli schemes as may bo decided upon by a. special committee, consisting of the Mayor and two other councillors, together with two'ladies and four gentlemen to represent the citizens. It is to be hoped, in view of tho laudable object, that, Mr. Ewsn's generous donation will b: secured.
