EXISTENCE OF A RING DENIED. By Tclcsrraph—Press Association—Oopyrlsht London, March 13. Sir George licid, High Commissioner for Australia, lias received statutory declarations from six Tooley Street agents, who sell co-oporntivc societies? butter, emphatically denying that they fixed prices to suit ono another. 1 Sir Georgo Reid has cabled to Mr. Thomas (Commonwealth Minister for External Affairs) asking liira to publish the declarations. Sir George Beitt suggests that if the cooperative societies aro unwilling to join in a thorough inquiry into existing methods ho will bo authorised to appoint an impartial commissioner to make inquiry.
