Mr. Austen Chamberlain, M.P., at a Tariff Reform gathering iii London, said some of them had made a great sacrifice by tho postponement of their hopes in j .order - .to secure the unity of the party, but it was oh condition, that tho policy on which they had conccntrated : should be pressed with all tho energy of tho party. Later, if others would not make similar sacrifices, they could not bo expected to persist in their sacrifice.
