HIGHLY INDIGNANT.

♦ THE ROTORUA BATHS STAFF. • A lecture' resented. '(By Teleeraph.—Press Association.) Rotorua, March 13. 'Members of the baths stall: are in a state of high indignation in regard to what they consider an unwarrantable interference with the control of the staff. On Tuesday the whole stall' was summoned to the doctor's room at the new baths, where thejMvcre met by the house surgeon (Dr. Scott) and Dr. Bertram. The house surgeon, it is stated, made a few remarks about the necessity for the baths being kept scrupulously clean, and then passed on to the question of complaints, stating 1 that he had none, but Dr. .Bertram wished to address the stall.

i Dr. Bertram said lie had had many complaints as to the maimer in which his prescriptions had been carried out. The baths were often not as ordered,, and patients were left too much alone. This, the doctor said, would have to be remedied. If any more mistakes occurred he would make it so rotten that the offender would have to get out. In fact, if the present state of afl'aiis continued the whole staff'would have to get out.

The attendants contend that if complaints were lodged Hie individual delinquent should be reprimanded by the medical officer, not. the whole staff lectured by an outsider. They are naturally concerned at the thought that if private practitioners are to be allowed to issue orders in the manner mentioned there will be c&nflict of instructions, in which case trouble would arise.
