, HUTT PARK''COMMITTEE!A special meeting of' the Hutt Park Committee was held last night, and was attended by Messrs. Baldwin (chairman), M'Ewan, Barlow,'and Macaskili. , •: Mr. .S. W. The chairman reported that the Hockey Association _ was not satisfied with the way in which" the hockey grounds were laid out,'were desirous of the water being laid on for bath purposes.—On ,the motion of Mr. Barlow, it was resolved to grant the use of one of the buildings for baths, and thus avoid laying water pipes. The "shower baths" would have to bo built subject to the committee's approval. -The Hockey Association to defray tho cost. In regard to tho matter of laying out the grounds, it was reported that four grounds would be ready for next season.

At the Lyceum Theatre, Petone, last night, a grand benefit entertainment was given in aid of the Petone Kowing Club. There was u very Inrge, attendance, nnd it is expected that tho receipts will total £12. The programme consisted of motion pictures and elocutionary items by Miss B. Purdoni and Mr. J. Culford .Bell.
