CANON CARRINGTON APPOINTED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Christchurch, March 12. The Rev. Canon C'arrington has been appointed Dean of Christchurch, vice Dean Harper resigned. The appointment takes effect fro.n April 10, the date Dean Harper's resignation takes effect. Tho Rev. Charles Walter Carrington was educated at Cambridge University, and obtained his B.A. degree in 1888. Ho was ordained deaojn in the same year, and a priest the following year. He was appointed ourate of St. Clements, Netting lull, in 1890, and assistant diocesan treasurer at Lichfield in 1894. lie obtained his M.A. degree in 1902, and been me vicar of Christchurch, West Bromwich, Staffordshire, in 1903. Canon Carrington was appointed principal of tho upper department of Christ's College, Christchurcli, in 1903.
