It is estimated that the Kaiser's private fortune totals .£7,100,000, on which sum he will pay the war tax. The Duke of Saxe-Alten'bourg's taxable fortune amounts to three millions. The Kaiser's fortune is fifth on the list of the great estates laid under contribution.
