OTAKI NOTES.
Mr. "Bert" Hankins, of the firm of Hitchings, Hankins, and Co., having decided to leave the district, was the recipient of a presentation prior to his departure, while Mrs. Hitchings was also similarly honoured. The Horowhenua-Manawatu cricket match, to have been played yesterday, has been indefinitely postponed. , Misses Hodge and. Newcombd addressed a meting of ladies here on Tuesday on the suffrage movement. They received a cordial hearing, and d hearty vote of thanks. Winter feed is fairly plentiful here, and stock generally are looking well. Bain, which fell heavily at intervals yesterday, will have a refreshing effect oti pastures.
