A case of importance to dairy factoriet was concluded at the Supreme Court' today, when' Arthur 11. Playle sued;- the Riverdalo Co-operative Dairy Factor? Company for <i!MI damages for alleged libel, Plaintiff is a share milker, and the causo of the action was the posting ol' his tests bv the company in its general store witli the commentary "added water." Plaintiff's name was not men*. Honed, that of the owner of the herd appearing in the test book. _ Tliu jury hold that this was sufficient evidence to connect the plaintiff with the notice, and returned a verdict in liis favour, with .£35 damages. Jlr. Morison, K.C., who appeared for the company, raised a non-suit point, on which, Sir. Justicc Donniston reserved hia decision. , ~,,,, - L The Judge, in summing up, held that it was immaterial to the alleged libel whsthcr water had been put in the himk.
