Fanners' Meat Company had 4483 carcasses mutton, 1415 carcasses lamb, and 264 quarters beet' on board tho steajmcr Turakina, which took lire near Bio do Janiero. It is feared most of it has been damaged. THE CAIIGO.
' Dunedin, March 7. The Turakina's cargo included 13,000 boxes butter and 4000 cases cheese. This carries an insurance o£ ,£70,000 in the union Insurance Society of Canton. FIRE EXTINGUISHED. ■ The local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company has received cable advice that ill# lire on tho Turakina at liio do Janeiro has been extinguished. There i-s a possibility of the wool, tallow, and (lax being saved, but the rest of tho cargo —principally meat, butter, and cheese— is a total loss-.
