AUSTRALIAN ALLIANCE ASSURANCE. The report of the above company covers the 12 months ended December 31. It showfi that the net premiums amounted to £42,746, against which are looses, £19,594, and charges and taxation £16,710, leaviug a surplus of £6442. Of this amount the directors have transferred £5000. to the assurance reserve, raiding it to £15,000; and the balance, £1442, is carried to profit, and loss. Interest amounts to £SCQ6. The balance at credit of profit and loss, including £9794 brought forward, is £16,137, of which £6107 is transterrea to reserve fund, which will thus stand at £23,CC0, and the balance, £10,0C0, is carried forward. The fundi? of the company stand as follow:—Capital paid-up, £150; COO; reserve fund, £20,CC0; reassurance reserve, £15,0G0; balance carried forward, £10,030; .total, £195,030, apart from the uncalled capita: of £150,CG0.
