SOCIAL AT ST. PETER'S.
An excellent entertainment v;as held at St. Peter's Schoolroom, Ghuznre Street, last night in aid of St. Vincent's cadets. The programme wa« .chiefly musical, but included an exhibition of boxing by L. A. Iquist and .1. Smith, with Mr. "Tim" Tracy as referee. One ot the be>t, if not (lie be?!'. ilcm«. was an Irish jig dance by .Miss Daisy M'Lellan, assisted by Piper Frost (tlie champion Highland dancer of the North Island). Miss M'T.ellan was graceful, and danced with the spirit of a real danseuse. The following contributed songs: Messrs. L. J. Dir Flail, 1!. J. M'Lean, J. Ross. A. W. Folmell. Li Probcrt, .1. Buyce. J. Finnerty. A. Mosey. C. Fenncll, F. Walshe, and Misses 11. ILlnnan and M. Fox.
