HOTEL LICENSES.

A PRECEDENT ESTABLISHED. By Telegraph—Pres3 Association—Copyright (Rec. March 4, 8 p.m.) Sydney, March d, The Dubbo Licensing Bench has' reinstated tho license of a hotel ruled out under the 1905 local option vote. After the hotels were ■ reduced to the statutory number, one failed to obtain a renewal of its license, leaving an opening for the present application. The Bench overruled the police objections that another hotel was not wanted, and that the Bench had no power' to reinstate tho premises closed by the special Licensing Bench as the result of the local option vote. This is the first instance of the restoration of a license.
