The scheme initiated by the appointment of Mr. Royd Gai'lick is yet in its preliminary.'stages, and the Government_ is. feeling its way gradually towards tho' ttnal development of the schevue, The newly-appointed instructors will lie' employed ior the present in connection with the four Teachers' Training Colleges j in addition, as opportunity offers, they will hold classes for the training of such teachers as may be brought together in various centres for, that purpose. The whole object of the scheme! is to train teachers to train children in physical matters,-and the services of the instructors will be utilised 1 for that purpose. Before entering 011 their, duties, the newly-appointed instructors will go" through a- course of instruction under Mr. Royd GarJick, with the object of arriving at a common understanding as to the manner in- which they in their turn. shall impart instruction to those committed to their charge.
