Tho monthly meeting of tho WellingtonChamber of Commorco has been pestponcd until a dato to bo fixed next week. A meeting of tho Pipe Band and 1 Dancers' Association wns held in tbeir rooms, Cuba Street, last night. Mr. A. D. Crawford was in the chair. A discussion took placd in regard to arrangement of tho band for the Easter Carnival, and a committee, consisting of tho secretary (Mr. A. Shaw) and Mr. J. Simpson, was elected to meet tlio Carnival Committee.' Mr. J. Simpson was unanimously elected , pipe-major for tho" unexpired term. Tho association wish it to bo known' that thoy : still liavo room for pipers and drummers. Tho Wellington City Council (Mr. .Tames Doyle auctioneer) will.hold A clearing sale of unclaimed goods,' comprising jewellery, umbrellas, walking sticks, and lxigs, otc. The sale will l>o hold in tho Concert Chamber, Town Hall, and commence at 2.30 p.m. 10-morrow' (Wedncs' . day).
