A THOUSAND MEN OUT. (Kec. February 28, 11.15 p.m.) Sydney, February 28. The Australian Gaslight Company's employees at Mortlako Works, which serve largo suburban areas, numbering six, hundred, have joined the strike. Tho employees of tho company's city work 9 are still in; further developments are probable!
In view o£ eventualities, tho city' ga9 supply has been reduced to-night. Tho suddenness of the move left tho companies unprepared, and they aro unable to keep up, tho, supply beyond a day or two. •' Tho outlook is serious. Already about a thousand men aro out.
