It was a military wedding. In J9OO lie was promoted Captain, and'a year later was transferred to the; Royal Field Artillery, and is now in command of the 142 nd Battery. Lady Edwiua Roberts-is the'second: surviying . daughter Df rlTioldMarshal Earl Roberts, and was born in 1875. Lady Aileeri Roberts, who was born in 1870, and is unmarried, is . the heirpresumptive to the earldom, which' was conferred on Lord Roberts after the Boer "War, with special remainder to his two surviving daughters.' Should Lady Ailecn remain unmarried, the title'would fair to. Lady Edwina, and should she havo a eon he would ultimately inherit the earldom.]
