"The Faco or tho Voice" is another fine picture, which was much appreciated. The programme will be .repeated until further notice. SHORTTS' THEATRE. , , Pride of place in'the change prosframmo to be screened at Shortts' Theatre in "Villis Street, to-day and to-night, will be taken by a picture entitled, 'A Romance of the United States Navy." This central attraction will be backed up by an interesting Tange of supporting, pictures,' from. which, tho element of comic relief will, not- be absent. EMPRESS THEATRE. "Restitution," described as a powerf.nl modern drama with an exciting plot, will head the new programme to-day and tonight at tho Empress Theatre continuous pictures. Tho story depicts tho crimo of a lawyer who causes the death of a client, and then becomes possessed of his fortune. As a sop to his conscience, the lawyer adopts tho dead man's son who, in after years, traces his foster-father s crime.. A sensational explosion, which results 'in his own death,'is caused by the lawyer when he finds himself detected. A bright contrast to the tragic side of tho story is tho pleasing love romance of the adopted gon. Another important picture will be a beautifully-tinted itrip. through Venice. "Tho Warwick Chronicle will reproduce the latest happenings in England and on tho Continent. THE RICICARDS TIVOLI COMPANY- ' This evening, at the Opera House, the Rickards Tivoli Company will give the first of eight performances here, under th« direction of Mr. Hush M'lntosh. Despite the quantity of effects used by. Arnold De Biere, the entire company will bo in ' readiness to-night with a; programme which is claimed to be tho very finest vaudeville. De Biere and his company will present a series of feats of magic, together with a number of original illusions, accomplished with re-, markable rapidity. Miss Nella Webb will be hoard in many of her ear-haunt-ing talking songs. This artist is said to possess a beautiful voice of great range and power.' Accompanying Miss Webb on tho piano is Morit?.
