INDIAN FRONTIER TROUBLE.
A BEUSH WITH THE NAGA TRIBES- ' MEN. By Telegraph.—Prees Association—OopyrlirM Xaj.cutta, February 25. The check given to the military police by the Naga tribesmen was due to the Nagas rushing ;tbi baggage coolies in the rear. The coolies became panic-stricken, dropped their loads, and clung to' the sepoys, many of whom were, in consequence, unable to fire their rifles. Reinforcements have been sent. ' On February IS a message from Delhi gave the following particulars':—A collision has occurred, between the military police and the Naga tribesmen on the north-eastern frontier. The; police were inquiring into the "massacre of three men. when the Nagas assailed them in dense bush. Nine ■' coolie' transporters were killed and twenty-seven wounded. The police, repelled the tribesmen, losing fetor Eepoys lulled anil five wounded.
