WANGANUI JOTTINGS.
(By Telegraph.—Special Correspondent.) Wanganui, February 24. , Two defendants were charged at the Magistrate's Court this morning with failing to register the births of their children within the specified time. The magistrate imposed a light fine, but remarked tliat the public should know that it was a serious matter and one that they should bo warned about getting slack over. The Wanganui. Fruitgrowers' Association has made, excellent progress with its co-operative pruning nhd spraying scheme, and is now calling tenders for carrying out the work, which is primarily intended for the benefit of the small ,muh and tho amateur. ' •
