The party left hero Inst Monday for Tauniarunui', stayed there that night, and left early the next morning on tho long' river trip, reaching the houseboat at 10 a.m After lunch tho trip was resumed to Pipiriki; where they stayed for the night. On Wednesday the vice-regal party proceeded to Jerusalem, where tlfey witnessed a big Maori meeting, and were most cordially received, l»ing the recipients of several presents. After spending a very pleasant day, they returned to - Pipiriki and drove thi'bugh to Ohaktine to catch tho express for Wellington.
