Wedding In Kent Terrace Presbyterian | Church. A very pretty wedding took placo in the Kent Terrace Presbyterian Church on Thursday, February 20, when Miss Marjoriq Stewart Itfiid, eldest daughter of Mr; James Roid, of Wallace Street, Wellington, was married to Mr. John Herbert Stubbs, of'the City Engineer's office, 'Wellington, and son of the late . Mr. John Stubbs, of Palmerston- North. The Rev. Kennedy Elliott performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given, away by her father, wore a graceful gown of ivory charmeuse, with veil and wreath of orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet of orango blossoms. Tha bridesmaids were Miss Isa Hoid and Miss Elsie Stutba, and both were in pretty crepe de chine frocks, with black Tagel hats. They carried bouquets of shaded pink roses. Mr. Percy Stubbs, of Palmerston North, was tho beet man, and Mr. R. I). Boyle, of Wellington, was the. groomsman. The bride's mother, Mrs. Reia, wore a navy blue costume with Oriental trimmings, and a black hat; Mrs. StuVb3 was in black crepe da' chine. A reception was held after the ceremony at Godber's rooms in Courtenay Plaoo, many of tbe guests having "come from Palmerston for the occasion! Later the bride and bridegroom left for the south. A tennis "social" and dance is being held by tho Entertainment Committee of tho Mnrnnui Surf and Lifo Saving Chib on Friday evening next, in tho hall belonging to the Maroimi Surf Club. The weekly Wednesday evening assemblies also commence after that date, and will be continued throughout tho winter months. Miss M'Dougnll returned to Pir.noa yestordny from a brier' visit to Wellington.
