Tho Harbour Board's tender Uta, which was lying handy for bringing the pilot ashore, immediately went to tho spot whero tho mau had disappeared, and those on board managed to get lwld of him a's ho was striking; out Tor tho shore. After somo persuasion the man was induced to return to the Orinthic, the gangway was hauled i up, and the liner again stood on her course.
