Mr. Christian Holiermann, organist and pianist to the Royal Sydney Philharmonic Society, who has resigned his position to accept the oonductorsnip of tlio Wellington Choral Society, in succession to Mr. Maughsn Bamett, has (says tho Sydney "Telegraph") had a very successful carter in this State, and has added to his experience by two years' work in England and; on the Continent. Ho is a, facile composer, his work, "Babylon's Wave," and the incidental music to Mr. J. C; Williamson's big production, /'Parsifal," having; boon most favourably received, He has also had - much experienco as a conductor. Mr. Hellerniahn is to lcayo for Wellington about tho middle of April.
