Holland), and Christclnirch- councillors and a small fleet of ntotor-cars was s.t tho disposal of tho. party.'■ Tho tramway power-house.-'.was', inspected, tho visitors expressing great admiration at tho big work that is in hand there. Thence tho party went through tha city visiting tho . new; firo station, destructor, and tonid baths. Lunch was partaken of at tho City Council Chambers at 12.30 •p.m. ;r Tho party were taken for another tour in the afternoon,' and entertained at tea. by tho Christchurch City Council. They afterwards returned to Timaru by spociol train.
