IMPORTED SOUTHDOWN RAMS.
STOCK ,FOR THE SOUTH. A consignment of two Southdown shearling rams from the flock of Mr. C. Adcano, Bnbrahain, Cambridge, Ims just been imported by Mr. Geo. Gardner, of Medbury, Canterbury. Both rams,- Babraham Crown and Babrahahi Caird, arc by ■Mr. Adeline's well-known sire and prizewinner, Babraham Crony. 1 Babrnhain Crony was in tlio first prizo pen of shearing rams at tho Royal Show in 1009, and was first at tho Royal Show, 1910. Ho wa4 §iro of the lftll Roynl Show champion and many, other noted winners. Ho was used -at Babraham in 100!), 1010, and 1911. Of the two rams imported to New. Zealand Babraham Crown won first prize and was reserve for the chnmpionship at the Royal Counties' Show. Babraham Caird won first prize and the championship, nt the Oxfordshire Show. Both rams were' used' in -Mr. Adeane's flock this year, and both were tho highestpriced shearling rams in his catalogue. Owing to the outbreak of the foot-and-mouth disease in England, there were no sheep at the Royal Show in .Tunc last, so any chance the two rams had nf giving a good account of, themselves there was frustrated. '
