CITIZENS' CARNIVAL.

Sir,—l must ask you to allow me to correct your vorsion of my remarks to the Mayor yesterday. 1 did not uso the term Enstor Saturday,'! nor did I say that Holy Week dnded with Good Fddny evening. I said that wo would be satisfled if the carnival did not begin till after Good Friday. As to the term "Easter Saturday," as applied to the Cay before Easter Sunday, 1 have, only to remind you that Sunday, being tho first day of tho week, it gives its name to tho week following, and not to that prccccd-iug.--I am, stc., C. COLERIDGE HARPER.
