At the Old Bailey, two police constables, Wetherill and Smith, were sen-, fenced to twelve months' imprisonment,, and lirooks, another constable, to four months, for assaulting a linolyp'b operator and his wife, who wero waiting for a tram at Hoxton in the early niomiiig.
