On Monday tho Governor will lcavo for Tanmaruuui for the purpose of. viewing tho scenery on tho Wangauui River. To do that effectively ho is to 1m rowed down tho river from Pipiriki to the Native settlement at Jerusalem in a Maori canoe, returning tho samo evening to Pipiriki. On Thursday he will conch from Pipiriki to Ohakuno, and will arrive back in Wellington on Friday morning.
During tho first week in March their Excellencies will tako up their rcsidonco in Government House, Auckland.
His Excellency the Governor and Conntoss of Liverpool and suite'while in Marlborough paid a visit to T'Ua Marina, and inspected the site of tho conflict with tho Maoris in 1813, and aftorwards visited the Cemetery Hill, where stand tho monument to those Britishers who fell oil that occasion, and tho monument to tho Marlborough men. who fell in tho South African war. The Earl and Countess of Liverpool both addressed the school children, who were nsseenibled with their teachers. Tho vice-regal party was received by tho headmaster, Mr. H. K. Fisher.
. Tho Hon. W. F. Massey (Prime Minister) expects to remain in Wellington for at least a fortnight. Ho intends to visit some parts of the South Island next month. His Grace Arohbishop Redwood does not expect to arrive back in Wellington from EUropo until after Easter.'
