At the ■ Supreme Court to-day, John Horrooks Whcllan, of Levin; was acquitted on a charge of shooting with intent at a'man whom ho had found in his wife'a room. Hamuera Reiveti, charged with attempting to shoot liis wife, near Dannovirko; was found guilty of common 1 as. sault, and admitted to 'probation. Albert Henrv Light, piano agent,'' charged with fraudulently failing to account for .£lB, was convicted and admitted to probation for twelve months. Ho was also ordered'to pay the, .£lB, and ten guineas costs. •
