Messrs. A. E. Mabin, C. Jones (chairman), E; G. Pilcher, F. W. Manton, A. Leigh Hunt, Thos. Ballihger, W. J. Thompson, A. S. Biss, and T. C. Van Staveren drawing the attention to the recent hotel fire at Marton, and pointing out that such a-fire' could not nave occurred had there been a night porter on tho premises. Incidentally the writer mentioned that the Commercial Travellers' Club might see that all tha hotels on its list kept night porters. Mr. Biss suggested that it was more a matter for the Travellers' Club' than the Chamber of Commerce. .
