Messrs. Dalgcty and C 0.,. Ltd., report having hold their usual 6tock sale at Danncrlrko on Friday, when they ottered a fair yarding of sheep and cattle to a largo attendance- of tho public. Ilidding for lit cattle was brisk, but store cattle und sheep were not in good demand. They iliioto ns follows:—Fat cows, £4 lfs.-to £6; two-year steers, f.l 18s. 1 61; weanor'steers, mixed colours, 3£e. to £2; three-year heifers, £3 to £4. Sheep: Two-too'.lr wcthcra, lis. to 14s. 2d.; four and six-tooth owes, lis. to 13i5. 3d.; shorn lambs, 4s. to 6s. 3d. Messrs. Williams and Kettle, Ltd., report having hc'.d their uuua-1 fortnightly Kilo in the Millar's Koad yards, when they offered a small cntrv of sheep and oattlo to a moderate' attendance of tho public. Thay o.uotc as follows :-Cull lambs, 6s. 6d. to Gs.; two-tooth wethers (culle), 10s. 9d.; weaners, mixed, 305.; iirtecn to cighteennionths, steers, £3 6s. bd.; fifteen'to cight-c£n-raonths heifers, £2 165.; storo cows, £3 to £3 Ids.; cowfi and calves, £4 65.; epringiug cows, £5 to £6.
Mr. King's weekly report states: —At Stratford ou Saturday, .February 1, for my .monthly, horse fair I had a catalogue od 111 horses. Tho attendance was good, and there was a fair inquiry lor good harncs6 horses, but poor sorta and weedy hacks were hard to quit. Light horses were yarded in good numbers! but in meet cases the vendors' reserves .were too high. I quote: Good spring carters, £12 'to £22;, half-draught horses, £19 to £25; hacks, £3 to £12. Vehicles sold as follow:—Cortland wagons, £13,t0 £22; gigs, £16 to £24; long shatter. £12, At Douglas on Monday I hold my first sheep fair for the- season, .when, about 7f(fl sheep were yarded. .There wao <v good attendance and competition, was good for. most. claesoß, two-tooth ewes meeting with leaet inquiry. .Two extra good lines o£' forward wethers from' Messrs. E. Meuli and A. G. Stewart respectively' attracted keen competition and sold well, as did also a lino pen of shorn lambs from Mr. Fred Bayly, tho latter topping the market at 9s. Bd. I. quote prices as follow:—Two-tooth ews, 155.; four-tooth to f.f.m. ewee, lis, 4d.; f.m.ewcs, ss. 2d. to 10s. 4d.; two-tooth wethers, 135,. 7d. to 14s. 2d.; four-tooth forward wethers (good), 16s, Id.; shorn lambs, good, Ss. id. to 9s. Bd.; ordinary sorts, 6b. 4d./to 7a. 6d.; cull lambs,'Gs.-to-6s. 6d. At StratfSrd on' Tuesday there was a good yarding and attendance; weaners, bulls, and store cows met with good competition, but inquiry for other classes was not quite as keen as usual.- Mixed weaners made 20s. to 3Es. 6d.j woaner hcifcre, coloured, 483.; twentymonths to two-year hcifors, £3 14s. 6d. to £3'lßs. 6d.; yearling steers, 34b. 6d. to 555.: storo cows,. £2 9s. to £3 .lEo.; forward cows. £4 to £4 17s. 6d.; fat cows, £5 ss, to £6 17s, 6d.; bulls, £3 14s. to £7 10s.
