BIENNIAL CONFERENCE.

The biennial conference of the Grand Lodge of Druids (North Island) concluded at Marton at 2 o'clock' on Thursday morning, after a rather strenuous session. The" conference commenced at 3 p.m. on Monday, and sat until midnight. It was resolved that whilst regretting that the necessity had arisen to suspend tho Auckland and Eden Lodges, Grand Lodge, after consideration, resolved to remove tho suspension subject to their recognition of tho authority of Grand Lodge, by complying with the rules and paying all dues. • • .. ... Tho following* executive was elected:— Grand President, Bro. A. Thompson (Auckland); Grand Vice-President, Bro. J. Tennant (Greymouth); Grand Secretary, Bro. N. Grant Wellington) ; Grand Treasurer,.Bro. R. Fletcher (Wellington) ; Grand Guardian, Bro. F. Jennings (Wellington). , Opportunity was taken to present the ex-Grand President (Bro. A. Wade) with a Grand President's collar, by was of appreciation for the services rendered the order during his term of office. Bro. UK. C'ooke, the local secretary, was presented with 1 a gold sovereign case and a hanasome' electro-plated fruit-dish, in recognition of his efforts to make the delegates comfortable during their stay at Marton.
