Major-Gencral Godley will visit Feilding on Wednesday, February 19,-and'will inspect the Senior Cadets. '•'■'.. In view of her,approaching marriage. Miss Gosling has tendered her resignation as municipal librarian; _ ' . On Wednesday evening the Bishop of Melanesia gave an address in St. John's Church on the work of his island diocese. He asked for helpers for the mission, and it is understood that, ns the result, Feilding will have direct representation oh the mission staff. Tho Marton School Committee has arranged with the Frernier to open the new District High .School building on Wednesday next at 2.15 p.m., and has asked the chairman of the Education Board (Mt. Fred. Pirani) to preside at the ceremony. The official opening of the new Patea , District'.High School building will tako place on Tuesday next, the chairman ot the Wanganui Education Board officiating. It is expected that a number, ot members of the board will be present. Like the new Marton school the building is of brick.
